No Kidding, Me 2! Actor Joe Pantoliano to Speak About Personal Struggle with Mental Illness

Acclaimed television and film actor Joe Pantoliano (aka Joey Pants), known for his award-winning turn on the landmark HBO series "The Sopranos," will host a screening of his empowering documentary on the shame associated with mental illness, "No Kidding, Me 2!," on Thursday, February 16, at 7 p.m. at the Madison Theatre at Molloy College.

Following the screening, Pantoliano will discuss the film, his life and take questions from the audience.

Acclaimed television and film actor Joe Pantoliano, No Kidding, Me Too!,Marking his directorial debut, Pantoliano's moving documentary exposes the discrimination often attached to mental illness and examines his personal struggle with clinical depression. In an effort to stomp the stigma of mental disease, the film features candid, often humorous discussions with Pantoliano and his family, as well as compelling stories of six other people from all walks of life, including a brain surgeon with bipolar disorder and three high school students managing bipolar disorder and clinical depression. The result is an inspiring vision of a society where those impacted by mental illness are surprised to find millions of others like themselves, saying, "No Kidding, Me 2!"

Boasting over 100 film, television and stage credits, Pantoliano is a scene-stealer revered and honored for his unique and entertaining portrayals in such films as "Risky Business," "The Goonies," "Empire of the Sun," "The Fugitive," "The Matrix," and "Memento." His role in the award-winning 2007 film "Canvas," about a family caught up in the turmoil of mental illness, prompted Pantoliano to launch the non-profit organization, No Kidding, Me 2!, to unite members of the entertainment industry in educating the public about the disease.
