"There's a much higher degree of practicality than before the Great Recession," Drew Bogner, president of Molloy College in Rockville Centre, said of how students and parents view the college selection process. "They want to know if I'm investing in tuition dollars, what am I getting back? Did you get a job in your field? Is it a good job?"
"Knowledge becomes obsolete fairly quickly...so what you need to train in is that real-world knowledge. That's why internships are so essential," said Maureen MacKenzie, dean of the Division of Business at Molloy College.
