Molloy College named as the seventh safest college campus in the nation by Newsweek,
Rockville Centre, NY (August 26, 2021) - Molloy College announced today that it has been named as the seventh safest college campus in the nation by Newsweek, and the only college in the New York City region in the top ten.
College data and review site Niche compiled the list by analyzing data and student reviews on which campuses are the safest.
"Year after year we see that campus safety is a huge priority for prospective students-and, perhaps even more so, their parents," said Natalie Tsay from Niche, in the Newsweek article. "Our Safest College Campuses ranking is intended to highlight colleges with little to no campus crime, drugs, or alcohol usage. We consider factors like crime incidents on campus and in the local area, student survey responses, and rates for violence and arrests."
"Students and parents can feel very good about our ranking in this independently researched list, and we are pleased to have been recognized," said Dr. James Lentini, the College's president. "Safety comes in all forms and our COVID-19 policies are no exception as well. We are prepared for an in-person fall semester that will have in place procedures to do all we can to maintain a safe and health campus for students, faculty, employees and staff."
