Mollie Biggane Melanoma Foundation teamed up with Molloy College for free skin cancer screenings. Mollie Biggane passed away at the age of 20 from skin cancer after finding an irregular mole on her leg.
- Seventy-nine people were screened
- Forty-nine were referred for further treatment; forty-two of those had pre-cancerous lesions; two had squamous cell carcinoma; four had basal cell carcinoma and one had melanoma.
"The Molloy nursing students and the staff from the nursing lab were invaluable," said Victoria Siegel, professor of Nursing at Molloy College.
