Mission living it forward
By Anthony Vela
Community and service are two of the Four Pillars of Dominican life, and these two are in pratice every time Campus Ministries participates in Midnight Run, which provides food, clothing and toiletries to those living on the streets of New York City.
Molloy has stepped it up, and thanks to Susan Cassidy and the Girl's Softball team, Molloy did their first Breakfast Run. These runs take place on the weekend from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., and Molloy served over 50 people breakfast of eggs, bacon, French toast, bagels, juice, coffee, and fruit. Socks, underwear, and toiletries were also distributed.
"It was an amazing experience on a beautiful Saturday morning. What a way to begin this week of gratitude. I was honored to be part of the day," said Sister Diane of Campus Ministries.
Midnight Run is a not-for-profit organization that provides food, clothing and toiletries to those living on the streets of New York City. For 10 years, Molloy College has participated in this organization.
