Klotsche, Nickels Awarded Inaugural Team Physician Student-Athlete Scholarship
The Molloy College Department of Athletics announced the first recipients of the Molloy College Team Physician Student-Athlete Scholarship. The grant, established by team doctors Dr. Eric Freeman and Dr. Michael Moskowitz, will be awarded to two student-athletes annually, selected by a committee.
Following nominations from Molloy's head coaches, junior Shawn Klotsche of baseball and senior Caroline Nickels of women's rugby were selected as the inaugural recipients of the Molloy College Team Physician Student-Athlete Scholarship.
In order to be considered, student-athletes must have attained junior status, completed two years of athletic eligibility, have a career grade-point average of at least 3.0, and demonstrate commitment to the Molloy Mission.
Both Klotsche and Nickels have served as leaders both on their teams and in the community, spearheading hard work and dedication in their work in the classroom, in the community, and on their respective fields of play.
