Kick-off to Nurses Week at Molloy College
On Sunday, May 7, the Barbara Hagan School of Nursing hosted a luncheon sponsored by the Ph.D. Ambassadors and the Alumni Association for 50 invitees who are doctoral students, alumni, and faculty in nursing at Molloy. The luncheon featured Lt. Governor Bethany Hall-Long from Delaware who holds a Ph.D. in Nursing from George Mason University and has been in politics following graduation in her home state. She is the only nurse state official, having risen from her congressional district to state senate before running for Lt. Governor and winning in January 2017. She spoke passionately to the attendees about speaking out and aspiring to lead in policy with their nursing voices for the better health of the public.
