Gotham faculty publish book
Dr. Meritta Cullinan, Professor of Sociology, has had a long and productive career at Molloy College--as a teacher, faculty president, and voice of social conscience at the college. Six years ago, Dr. Cullinan founded Molloy College's Gotham program, which uses the streets of New York City as a means of teaching students about the rich history, culture, and social institutions of the Big Apple. The classes connected with this program have become among the most popular at the College, with long lists of students wanting to enroll each semester.
Now a book based upon the walking tours led by Gotham faculty has been published by Dr. Cullinan and Mike Russo of the Department of Philosophy called Essential New York, the book provides over 25 tours that capture what is unique and most interesting about the city right next door to Molloy.
