Off to Molloy - Exploring STEM workshops

STEMNow in its second year, The Math and Computer Studies Department is hosting Off to Molloy! Full STEAM Ahead! on Friday March 4 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. The event provides approximately 100 second graders from Wheeler Elementary School hands-on STEAM workshops that encourage curiosity, exploration and teamwork. The workshops are led by faculty in the Math and Computer Studies Department, Chemistry Department, and Art and Fine Arts Department with the help of student volunteers from the Math and Computer Studies Club and Education Club. The second graders will have the opportunity to explore the brain, to code via drag and drop, to test parachutes and explore the design of balls used in sports, to create abstract art and African face mask, and to explore geometric shapes.

*The "Science" workshop is held in Kellenberg Hall.
