Eclipse Mania at CERCOM

CERCOM had a spectacular event in celebration of Eclipse Day, and over 200 Molloy College friends - and alumni, faculty, administrators, and staff - attended. Ken Spencer, president of the Astronomical Society of Long Island (ASLI), was on hand and provided telescopes for a close look of the eclipse. Some of his pictures appeared in Newsday.

The weather certainly cooperated as CERCOM/Molloy College interns led tours of the horseshoe crab lab, USGS Tide Gage, NOAA Weather Station, and Seining Demonstrations. This event highlighted CERCOM and the Earth and Environmental Studies program.
