Bowling Rolls to Academic Honors

By Rick Rissetto, Director of Athletic Communications

The National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) unveiled the winners of its team and individual cumulative grade-point average awards for the 2015-16 season in a statement on Thursday (Jun. 30). The Molloy College women's bowling team was one of 17 institutions to be recognized for achieving a 3.2 grade-point average or higher during the campaign; meanwhile, Afsha Malik was one of 163 student-athletes to be named Academic All-NTCA after maintaining a grade-point average of 3.4 or higher for the academic year.

Malik has captured her second academic award of the 2015-16 season. Back in February, she was named an Academic All-American by the United States Bowling Congress (USBC) along with teammate Sydney Kelly.
