2019 NY Vegan Living Program
The Sustainability Institute at Molloy College invites you to the 2019 NY Vegan Living Program from June 1 to June 29, 2019 at the Hays Theatre at the Wilbur Arts Center of Molloy College, Rockville Centre, NY.
Want to go vegan, but need some help and support? Be a Vegan Pledge in the 2019 Long Island Vegan Living Program! The Vegan Living Program (VLP) is a FREE educational program that covers the hows and whys of living vegan, including the ethical and environmental considerations of veganism, nutrition, cooking, meal planning, and living vegan in a not-yet-vegan world.
Participants pledge to live vegan for the duration of the program, with the help of volunteer Vegan Coaches and our educational program. Pledges receive a binder full of resources and recipes, and a goody bag of free vegan stuff to make the transition easier and more fun! Most classes are free and open to the public, so no one misses out on the valuable info. It's clear that more and more of us are interested in addressing animal exploitation, tackling climate change, and concerned about our own health. In fact, according to search engine giant Google, the search interest for "vegan" is on the rise, increasing 32 percent in recent years. Whatever your motivation, the Vegan Living Program is designed to provide you with the support you need, and to build a community of like-minded individuals.
The Vegan Living Program originated and has been held with overwhelming success since 2011 in Baltimore, MD by the Vegan Living Program. This will be the sixth year that the VLP is offered on Long Island. The Sustainability Institute at Molloy College and Vegan Living Program are teaming up again to make the 2019 LI VLP the best one yet! Join us for this life-changing program!

Testimonials From Molloy Participants:
"If you're considering veganism for health, for the environment and/or for the animals the Vegan Living Program is definitely for you. The VLP provides you with invaluable resources including your very own coach to ensure a smooth transition, all while meeting other like minded people."
William Bianco, Molloy Nursing Student graduate, participated in 2015, 2016, and 2017 Vegan Living Program.
"I recommend this excellent program to anyone who is interested in learning more about the vegan perspective. The presentations are informative and practical. Myths are dispelled here. Yes, it is possible to get enough protein on a vegan diet, and vegan food can be delicious! More importantly, people who care about the impact they have on their fellow beings, and on the environment, come together to explore the possibilities for change."
Pamela Kenley-Meschino Molloy Writing Center Coordinator, participated in 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018 Vegan Living Program.
"The vegan living program truly validated that being vegan is for me. I became vegan for health reasons, but now I am vegan for so much more. The VLP open my eyes to the different benefits of veganism, such as the animals, environment, world hunger, etc. Having a coach as well as the weekly events was so encouraging and helpful. I definitely recommend this program. I learned so much that will benefit me for a lifetime."
Alina Davis - Molloy Speech Language Pathology Graduate, participated in 2016 Vegan Living Program.
