The "Criminal Justice and Law Career Evening" sponsored by the Criminal Justice and Legal Studies Department on April 20, 2018 was a great success. Keynote Speaker Congressperson Peter King opened the event.

Keynote Speaker Congressperson Peter King and John Eterno, Criminal Justice professor at Molloy College."Representative King added his stature and experience to the event. His unparalleled understanding of law enforcement opportunities benefited all the participants," said John Eterno, Criminal Justice professor at Molloy College.

Additional speakers included a sitting Nassau County judge, a Nassau County Police Chief, an FBI agent, an FBI analyst, personnel from private industry and law firms, a United States Attorney, a forensics occupation expert and many more. Students heard firsthand accounts from professionals and were exposed to new ideas and possible career paths.

According to Eterno, the criminal justice program at Molloy is designed to provide students with and in depth understanding of justice in America.

"Our faculty comes from all areas of the criminal justice system. We also expose students, through internships, speakers, other students and faculty, to the intricacies and importance of our justice system. We teach them to be lifelong learners who are scientific and analytic in their approach to the complex and critical issues facing American society," said Eterno.
