Lisa & John Romano
John Romano Sr. was born in Brooklyn, New York and was raised in Jamaica Estates, Queens. He is the oldest of Ralph and Angela Romano's three children. John is a graduate of St. Paul's High School in Garden City, NY and continued his education at Rutgers University. In 1988, John opened Certified Asbestos Corporation (CAC), which grew to be one of the largest environmental abatement companies in the Northeast. In the early days of his career, John secured contracts with Keyspan/National Grid, the School Construction Authority (SCA), Health and Hospitals Corporation (HHC), and the Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA). Some of his major completed projects include the demolition of Roosevelt Raceway and The Concord Resort in Kiamesha Lake, New York. In 2004, John opened 6R Consulting Corporation which offers managerial and consulting expertise to companies working in the construction and development industry. John has been actively working with Molloy College for 30 years.
Lisa Romano was born in the Bronx, New York and was raised in Bayside, Queens. She is the youngest of Vincent and Antoinette Curcio's three children. Lisa holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from St. John's University, where she was a member of the Society for Advanced Management. After graduation, she began her career in hospitality with the Marriott Corporation. In 2012, Lisa opened Cutlass Industrial Inc., which is a woman-owned general contracting and environmental restoration firm. The success of Cutlass is achieved by Lisa as Principal and John as Senior Vice President of Operations. Cutlass is a family run organization that substantially contributes to the economic vitality of Molloy College.
Both Lisa and John bring a unique flair to the Molloy community through their entrepreneurial spirit and demonstrated investment in the success of the college's future. Cutlass has displayed outstanding commitment in taking leadership roles through philanthropic and community involvement. By way of Lisa and John, Cutlass Industrial, Inc. has been deeply committed to serving the students and their needs here at Molloy College.
Lisa and John have lived in Malverne, New York for 25 years. They have four children, John Jr., Vincent, Nicholas, and Victoria. They are active parishioners of Our Lady of Lourdes Church. John and Lisa are also supporters of Operation Smile, Habitat for Humanity and Uplift Help International, which is an organization that provides healthcare and education assistance to impoverished people in Asiago, Nigeria.
