The recipients are recognized as solid corporate citizens, and those who demonstrate exceptional leadership and service within their community, and who hold in high esteem the notions of volunteerism and philanthropy.
Gary Maranga, R.A.
Principal in Charge, The Design Alliance
Gary Maranga As founding principal of The Design Alliance, Architect Gary Maranga has thirty years of design, construction and administrative experience encompassing a wide range of building typologies and project scopes. Gary's completed projects have included new buildings, restorations, adaptive re-use and alterations for mixed use, commercial, residential, institutional, healthcare, municipal and community type facilities. Gary is an excellent problem solver dedicated to the design process and recognizing contextual issues in the articulation of constructed space. He is well versed in the restoration of projects designated within Landmarks Preservation Districts and on the National Historic Register. As a team leader, Mr. Maranga administers project development from the initial design concept to construction completion while ensuring that building systems and components meet the intended budget, codes, construction schedules and design intent.
Gary is also the principal of Maranga Architect & Associates established in 1985 and which remains in practice today. He and his wife Kathryn reside in Brooklyn Heights with their three children.
