HOURS: Hours will be a combination of 9 - 5 pm and 11- 7 pm Monday through Friday based on faculty need. Work hours are flexible to accommodate faculty availability.
GRADE/SALARY RANGE: 5
Work Location: Temporarily Remote/Permanently Located on Main Campus, Rockville Centre, NY
The primary purpose of this position is to support faculty in designing engaging courses while utilizing Molloy's instructional technology tools and learning management system. A specific focus on supporting faculty through the delivery of workshops, consultations and online professional development course work.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Advance faculty development opportunities related to pedagogy and technology into hybrid and online courses by delivering workshops, consultations, events and online course work through online and on-campus modes of delivery.
- Identify new emerging tools for best practices in teaching and learning.
- Collaborate with academic deans on managing faculty development initiatives including ensuring quality of hybrid and online courses and assessment of online programming.
- Track reports on faculty consultations and events sponsored by the Office of Blended and Online Learning.
- Maintain course design webpages and LibGuide content.
- Work on quality assurance initiatives related to hybrid and online teaching and learning.
DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Microsoft suite, Databases, Web Development, Jenzabar Software, Statistical Software
- Survey and online registration software
- Master's Degree
- 3-5 years' experience
Assigned Lead (non-students): May recommend the following: employee hiring; disciplinary action and input on performance evaluations.
Supervises work of others (students), including planning, assigning, scheduling, and reviewing work, ensuring quality standards. Is responsible for hiring, terminating, training, and developing, reviewing performance, and administering corrective action for students. Plans organizational structure and job content.
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED
Desktop computer, including spreadsheet and word processing software; copy machine; fax machine, printers, and scanners.
