Associate Professor of Communication Sciences and Disorders

Molloy College is currently seeking applications to fill three Full-Time Faculty Tenure Track positions in Communications Sciences and Disorders.  The position start dates are expected for September 2019.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Applicant will be expected to teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels, including substantial contributions to the development and implementation of a successful Ph.D. program, including mentoring of student research. Involvement in clinical work at the Molloy College Speech, Language and Hearing Center either directly, or through clinical education is preferred.

A commitment to on-going scholarship through research, publications, and presentations at professional conferences is required. Successful candidates will have an earned Ph.D or Ed.D., a history of significant contributions to scholarship in their area of expertise, and be actively engaged in ongoing research. Experience in obtaining extramural funding, or the potential for procuring such funding is preferred, as is experience mentoring student research. Preferred specialty areas include aural rehabilitation, communication modalities, motor speech disorders, fluency, acquired and/or developmental language disorders. 

Academic advisement, collaboration and attendance at departmental activities and willingness to serve on college-wide committees is required.

Additional Responsibilities: 

Successful candidates will be expected to engage collaboratively in the Department's activities. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to, maintaining academic integrity and engaging in regular weekly office hours as outlined in the most recent Molloy College Faculty Handbook

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Successful candidates must possess an earned Ph.D or Ed.D. in Speech-Language Pathology or a related discipline.
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence preferred
  • Eligibility for New York State Licensure to practice in Speech-Language Pathology and/or Audiology, preferred
