Clinical Mental Health Counseling Adjunct Faculty

The Master of Science Program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) at Molloy College is seeking an adjunct professor to teach an evening course in our counseling department in various areas of expertise. This is an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated counseling professional to be part of this private, comprehensive college with an outstanding academic reputation. The CMHC program is CACREP accredited and registered with the New York State Education Department. The program is academically rigorous and taught in both lecture and an experiential format, however due to the pandemic, the summer 2021 courses will be offered in an online synchronous, semi-synchronous, or hybrid format. Applicants with prior experience teaching at the graduate level and practicing in clinical settings should apply.

Current adjunct openings are available in courses that meet once per week, in the evenings during June and/or July. We are looking for an energetic adjunct with expertise in one of the following areas: developmental theories; addictions and substance abuse counseling; or spirituality in counseling. Requirements for the position include a doctoral degree in counseling or a closely related field from an accredited program, night-time availability for teaching the course and office hours as needed, and experience with online teaching and use of CANVAS. Doctoral students with training and/or experience in teaching will be considered. Prior graduate level teaching experience as well as clinical teaching experience is strongly preferred. A strong counselor educator identity and professional counseling licensure are a plus. Interviews are ongoing until the positions are filled.
