Philosophy Department and Center for Social and Ethical Concerns

All assistantships are available for September 5, 2014. Positions are 10 hours per week for 15 weeks. Recipients receive three (3) graduate credits a semester and a $500 stipend at the completion of the assistantship. Graduate Assistants must be enrolled in at least six (6) graduate credits to qualify. Positions will be filled as complete packets (application, resume and two references) are received in the Human Resources Office. Positions may be eliminated if not filled in a timely fashion and/or if budget has been expended. Please apply in the Human Resources Office, first floor, Kellenberg Hall 112, by August 1, 2014.

Position title: Graduate Assistant

1. Assist with development of online resources to support Philosophy and Ethics courses
2. Maintain established websites for online academic resources
3. Record series of academic lectures for online video streaming
4. Coordinate planning and publicity for numerous events throughout the year
5. Develop relationships and service as liaison with regional community partners (high schools, social service agencies, etc.) to provide resources, events, and opportunities for students and other members of the Molloy community
6. Provide research assistance and editorial support for department faculty
7. Contribute expertise in tech-based communication tools to enhance undergraduate educational experience
