Office of Residence Life

All assistantships are available for September 5, 2014. Positions are 10 hours per week for 15 weeks. Recipients receive three (3) graduate credits a semester and a $500 stipend at the completion of the assistantship. Graduate Assistants must be enrolled in at least six (6) graduate credits to qualify. Positions will be filled as complete packets (application, resume and two references) are received in the Human Resources Office. Positions may be eliminated if not filled in a timely fashion and/or if budget has been expended. Please apply in the Human Resources Office, first floor, Kellenberg Hall 112, by August 1, 2014.

Position title: Graduate Assistant


1. Attend all residence life events such as: check in, check out, weekend activities on and off campus
2. Maintain and update the Residence Life Facebook account
3. Coordinate programming activities with the Resident Assistant
4. Develop and implement one Health and Wellness program per month in Fitzgerald Hall
5. Maintain and post a monthly calendar of events
6. Assist with the advertisement of events
7. Assist in the coordination of weekend intramural programs
8. Assist with Resident Assistant training in August and January


  •  Microsoft word/excel
  •  Ability to work well with and train students
  •  Ability to organize materials
  •  Knowledge of social media

Hours: Flexible, must have availability on the nights and weekends.
