Transcript Request

Students wishing to have an official or student transcript sent to themselves or directly to a prospective employer or school must submit a signed request form to the Office of the Registrar along with the required fee by mail, fax or in-person. Forms are available from the Office of the Registrar or can be downloaded: Transcript request form.

Transcript requests are filled as soon as possible after receipt, but students should allow up to a week for processing during busy periods. The College reserves the right to withhold a student’s transcript until all financial and/or other obligations are fulfilled.

A transcript of a student's academic work may be obtained from the Office of the Registrar for $5.00 per copy. The fee must be paid at the time of the request. The fee is charged for both official and student copies. Official copies will be mailed directly to other educational institutions, government agencies or employers. An official transcript when given to the student is official only if the transcript remains sealed until delivered to the desired recipient. There is only one $5 fee payable to Molloy College for both undergraduate and graduate transcripts if the records are requested at the same time and are mailed to one recipient.

If you are graduating and want your degree noted on the transcript, or if you want your final grades posted, please request that we hold for final grades or hold for final degree. Otherwise, the transcript will be released with the information that is posted at the time of the request.

The student must have satisfied all financial and/or other obligations with Molloy College. Requests received without payment or student's signature will be sent back.
Transcripts are not faxed to recipients. All transcripts must be mailed or picked-up in-person. A third party may submit a transcript form for you, as long as they have a letter of authorization from you. If you have somebody else picking-up your transcript, you must send a signed release - a letter that includes your personal information and a copy of some kind of documentation (for example a copy of your driver's license). The person picking up the transcript has to show picture identification.

A student may order academic transcripts by mail by sending a signed request with all information described above or the : Transcript request form and a check or money order payable Molloy College to:

The  Transcript request form may also be faxed to 516.256.2232. If faxing the request the student must pay with Visa or Mastercard. The student must provide the credit card number, the expiration date, the amount authorized to be charged on the credit card, and the credit card holder's signature. All requests must be signed before we can release transcripts.
