Design and Print Services falls under the jurisdiction of the Purchasing Office. The mission of Design and Print Services is to provide low cost, quality design as well as print services to the Molloy community using state-of-the-art software and high-speed black/white and color photocopiers. A wide format color printer is also available as well as an electronic paper cutter, folder, comb-binder, laminator, scanner, shredder and booklet-maker. A work order is required for all requests (see link on the left). Turn-around time for straight copy is usually one day or less.

Print Services can also assist departments in locating outsourced printers, graphic designers and analyzing bids. Outsourced printed materials costing over $1,000 require a purchase order.

A walk-up black/white photocopier is available to all departments 24/7 at the entrance to K012. Your departmental security code is required to operate this equipment (please consult your chairperson/department head). Please do not give your security code to temporary employees or students. If you send a temp or work study student to make copies, they can obtain a temporary code from the Purchasing Office when their college ID card is presented.

Pay Photocopiers

For your convenience, there are three locations on campus where you can purchase photocopies at .10/copy.
Each machine can print on EITHER 8-1/2" x 11" OR 8-1/2" X 14" paper. All accept coins or bills and make change. There are plans to incorporate a card reader into each copier in the future.

Library (Kellenberg Hall)

The library has four photocopiers. Three are located in the periodicals area and one is located off the main library room in stack room number two. Please see library personnel for assistance and maintenance issues.

Purchasing Office (K012)

One photocopier is located at the entrance to the Purchasing Office. Please note there is another copier in this location but it is for departmental use only. Please see Purchasing Office staff for assistance and maintenance issues.

Wilbur Art Center (near the book store)

One photocopier is located just outside the book store. You are encouraged to take advantage of the double-sided feature on this machine. Please call ext. 6321 for assistance and maintenance. There is a campus phone on the wall directly opposite the copier. Please do not seek help from the book store personnel.

Switchboard (K012)

The Switchboard is located in the Purchasing Office, K024.

The Switchboard position falls under the jurisdiction of the Purchasing Office. The switchboard operator directs all incoming calls to the appropriate offices and can assist departments with outgoing and international calls.

With the addition of Schedule 25 room reservation software, the operator is now able to answer many of the calls enquiring about events without having to transfer them to individuals. Please add as much information to your scheduled events as possible (name of event, location, date, time, cost, moderator, etc.)

Mail Room (K024)

The mail room is located in the Kellenberg Building, K024.

The mail room falls under the jurisdiction of the Purchasing Office. The mail room coordinator is knowledgeable in postal rules, regulations, policies and procedures and can provide guidance and assistance to departments with their preparation of mail with the goal of obtaining maximum postal discounts and improving delivery. The mail room coordinator should be contacted as early as possible in the planning stage. The mail room is open during the hours of 1 p.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday except when the college is closed.

Incoming Mail

All incoming mail is thoroughly screened and sorted for suspicious content according to national guidelines and those issued by the United States Postal Service. The Mail Room is closed to all traffic while the mail is being screened and sorted. There is a slot in the door for your outgoing envelopes when the mail room is closed.

Mail Processing

Administrative Offices: Mail room personnel deliver mail daily to all administrative offices.

Faculty Offices: The Faculty Mail Room is located in the Faculty Professional Center, K322 and is available 24/7. Due to the professor's varying schedules, incoming mail is delivered daily to individual mail slots which are accessible 24/7. At times, a security code is required to gain access (please consult your chairperson/department head).

Incoming Packages

The same safety measures used for incoming mail apply to all packages delivered to the college. Each parcel is logged in by mail room personnel and requires a signature when delivered to an individual or office. If you are expecting perishable or hazardous goods, please notify mail room personnel on ext. 6318 as to how these items should be handled.

Please note, in the event you receive a package or letter which you feel is suspicious do not touch the item. Leave the are and call security on extension 11 immediately from one of the emergency phones in the hallway or other area. Security staff will respond to your call and take action.

Residents (Students living on campus) Incoming Mail and Packages

Resident mailboxes are located in the Purchasing Office, lower level of Kellenberg Hall, Room K012. If you haven't received a mailbox, please come to the Purchasing Office. Letter mail may be obtained twenty-four hours a day at this location. Packages which are too large for the mailboxes are kept in a secure location. A notice will be placed in your mailbox when you have a package and may be picked up during normal business hours in the Purchasing Office, Room K012. Your signature will be required upon receipt.

The official address for resident's mail and package is
Name
Molloy College
P. O. Box 9000
Rockville Centre, New York 11571-9000

Important: Your individual P.O. Box # should not appear on the mail you receive as the post office scanning equipment sometimes reads it as a USPS box which will result in a delay in getting your mail. Please use the address above.

Outgoing Mail

Molloy does not sell postage nor accept personal outgoing mail and/or packages. There is a USPS collection box for letters at the north entrance to Kellenberg Hall. The RVC Post Office is two miles south on Merrick Road between Park and North Village Avenues.
