Molloy’s “Business Boot Camp” Trains Future Business Leaders.

Rockville Centre, NY - For the second consecutive year, Long Island and Queens high school students will spend a week at Molloy College getting in shape. Business shape, that is.

Eighty-five students will participate in a "boot camp" run by Molloy's Division of Business. The students will enjoy lectures on a variety of important business topics (including "Careers on Wall Street" and "Life as a CNBC Correspondent") and will participate in a stock market trading simulation game, to name but a few of the activities planned for the week.

"We are pleased that so many high school students have chosen to spend the first part of their summer with Molloy being taught by professors with some great business credentials," said Ed Weis, Ph.D., Dean of Molloy's Division of Business. "When high school students ask our advice, we encourage them to begin with the final goal in mind. If their goal is a fast-track professional career, then they will need to supplement their academic training with professional skills. Our faculty of former executives welcomes the chance to introduce them to these professional skills during the boot camp."

Molloy College, an independent Catholic college based in Rockville Centre, was founded in 1955. The College serves a student population of approximately 4,200 undergraduate and graduate students. Molloy students can earn degrees in a variety of outstanding academic programs, including nursing, business, education, social work, music therapy and many more.
