Middle Eastern Slave Trading of Women Presented by Women’s Voices Now

The organization Women's Voices Now (www.womensvoicesnow.org) will be on campus presenting a 80 minute film, The Slave, which focuses on the problem of modern day slave trading in the Middle East. Following the film, there will be a distinguished panel of speakers who will be here to discuss the film and answer any questions the audience may have on the topic. Women's Voices Now has created an platform where underrepresented women (and others) can be heard by an international audience. By participating in this program, participants can communicate with each other, and the dialogue on women's rights can be elevated by a multitude of views from diverse national, economic, ethnic and religious backgrounds. Women's Voices Now has toured around the United States and internationally, presenting screenings paired with panels of speakers in order to further spread these critical and fascinating voices.

There is no charge for this program, but reservations are required. Please RSVP to dmcgovern@molloy.edu no later than Tuesday, March 20, 2012. Classes are welcome.
