C. Vincent Pane of Massapequa will be inducted later this month into the Long Island Mathematics Educators Hall of Fame (LIMEHOF) in recognition of his dedication and service to the field. Pane is a professor at Molloy College in Rockville Centre, where he is credited with introducing individualized instruction and cooperative learning techniques and has written guidelines and curricula for undergraduate and graduate mathematics, education and pedagogy courses. He is also active in the Nassau County Mathematics Teachers Association, Nassau County Association of Mathematics Supervisors, and the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics.

"Thank you, Professor Pane, for your inspiration and service as benchmarks of excellence for the rest of the mathematics teaching profession," said Mary Ann Mansfield, Chair, LIMEHOF Nominations Committee.

The Hall of Fame was created in 2006 to recognize the important role that Long Island mathematics educators make to society.
