Molloy Students at the Domininican Colleges Preaching In Action Conference
June 1, 2012
Through the week of May 21, 2012, Molloy students Christopher Bargeron, Francesca Pisano, Salvatore Ubaldini and Sister Diane Capuano, Associate Director of Campus Ministries participated in the "Dominican Colleges Preaching in Action" Conference, which was held this year at Dominican University in River Forest, Illinois. Molloy students quickly made friends with the 32 other students from 12 other Dominican Colleges and Universities throughout the United States and Puerto Rico.
"It was a week of steeping ourselves in Dominican Life rooted in Study, Spirituality, and Service and Community. The students met the Dominican Family in a variety of ways! At the Closing Mass on Sunday, the students each read how they will continue to "preach" with their lives through their continued involvement at Molloy. They also want to become part of our "Dominican Young Adult Group" on campus," said Sister Diane.
The students we so excited about participating at the conference, they did not want to leave after the week was up.
"They kept saying how much they wanted to stay for another week, or two or three. I remind them that it is always good to leave an event on a high note," said Sister Diane.
The "Dominican Colleges Preaching in Action" Conference will take place at Molloy College next year on
May 21 - May 26.
