Boxtown at Molloy College
It is time to register for Boxtown XIV through Friday, April 5. Sign up in Campus Ministries at the Public Square in room 390 to participate in one of the college's most popular and moving events, BoxTown XIV.
People without homes sometimes resort to taking shelter in a cardboard box. In order to express our solidarity with the homeless and to raise money to provide emergency shelter and opportunities for permanent housing for those caught in this crisis, participants spend a night in a cardboard box on the campus of Molloy College. Each participant solicits sponsors who donate a certain amount of money to support their generous effort in spending a cold night in Boxtown!
All monies raised at Boxtown go directly to Bethany House, which provides shelter for women and children who are homeless in Nassau County. Recently, programs have been cut and funding has been greatly compromised. This year more than ever, Bethany House can use our financial help. Boxtown will take place on Thursday, April 11, from 7 p.m. - 7 a.m., Friday, April 12. We hope to see you at this great event! It's both a fun and challenging night and one you shouldn't miss.
