Bloomsday...A tribute to James Joyce

James Joyce Molloy College's Irish Studies Institute and The James Joyce Society (under the coordination of Dr. Nicholas Fargnoli, Dean Division of Humanities at Molloy and President of the James Joyce Society) honor Joyce's Ulysses as part of an international celebration of BLOOMSDAY!  June 16, 1904.  The day the novel takes place, is celebrated throughout the world with readings of Ulysses, performances of Joyce's works, festivities and scholarly gatherings. The cultural activities of the Bloomsday celebration at Molloy College will include music, dancing, and readings presented as entertaining dramatizations by performers. Readings from Ulysses will be interspersed with traditional Irish dancing and chamber music. Bloomsday participants will be invited to sing along with the performers. This multidisciplinary venue is designed to motivate and elicit audience interaction and participation. Additionally, Molloy students' creative artworks will be on display in the Art Gallery of the Public Square at Molloy -  "James Joyce: Portal of Discovery" curated by Dr. Hwa Young Caruso.
