Your Lion Card Usage
The new Molloy College identification card issued to students and employees is linked to a software system NuVision Networks (N.V.N.), which will permit this card to be used for multiple functions.
The Molloy College one card, named the LionCard, currently allows residential students access to their rooms and to purchase food through their meal plans. Students and employees can also use the LionCard to utilize resources of the College library.
The LionCard functions as a debit account for those students and employees who add funds to an account which will be established for them within the card system upon deposit of funds. The funds in each person's account can be used to make food purchases at the Anselma Room and the Public Square. Purchases can also be made at the vending machines on campus that have been adapted for this purpose with a card slot marked N.V.N. The Follett bookstore will also accept this card.
Employees and students can establish a debit account by depositing cash via a Cash Added Value machine. Two Cash Added Value machines have been installed on campus. One is situated in the lower level of Kellenberg Hall adjacent to the vending machines and one is located in the Public Square adjacent to the bookstore. These machines are also marked with the lettering N.V.N. The display screens on the Cash Added machines will guide the individual through the deposit process.
We are currently in the process of developing a capability which will allow you to put money into your debit account using a credit card via an internet connection with the college's website. We will notify you when this capability has been established. You may contact Anthony Perfetti, Assistant Treasurer, at 516.323.3035 with any questions you may have pertaining to the above information.
