Molloy Institute For Lifelong Learning
MILL feeds your love of learning - at any age
The Molloy College Institute for Lifelong Learning is the ideal program for those who are young-at-heart. Do you have time on your hands and a true love of learning? Then the Molloy College Institute for Lifelong Learning program (MILL) is perfect for you. We welcome adult learners of all ages to be part of one of the most fascinating and stimulating programs ever.
MILL is affiliated with the Elderhostel Institute Network, a well-recognized program that promotes learning among retirees, savvy seniors and adult learners. Ours is a working model of a school without grades where the only pre-requisite is an active mind and a desire to learn. That is what we offer the adult learner here at Molloy College. We are providing interesting, stimulating education opportunities for older adults. We offer you the chance to be involved in ongoing academic programs that are geared specifically to your interests.
MILL is a group of learners who design their own college-level curriculum, according to needs and interests. As a member of MILL, you will be with people who share your intellectual curiosity and the experience of your generation. You will share opinions, knowledge and expertise with humor, creativity and mutual respect. All ages are welcome as long as you are willing to maintain a rigorous mind.
As a member of MILL you not only attend your own classes, but you are also entitled to audit credit classes on a space available basis. Your participation is encouraged regardless of your previous level of formal education and scholarships are available. MILL membership is culturally diversified and invites participants from varied religions and ethnic backgrounds.
The annual membership fee is $435, couples $750. Come spend the day listening to lectures given by interesting professors or other professionals in various fields of expertise. You may take the opportunity to share your own knowledge with fellow members. Fill your days with seminars, book reviews, film discussions, concerts and plays.
Two MILL groups meet at Molloy College in Rockville Centre. One group meets on Tuesdays and the other meets on Fridays. And, now the Molloy Institute for Lifelong Learning is in Suffolk. MILL III meets on Wednesdays at the Molloy College Suffolk Center in Farmingdale from 10 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. Annual membership fee for the Suffolk Center program is $275. It is the same exciting program for seniors or retired people who wish intellectual stimulation and social contacts. Come and listen to interesting speakers and engage in stimulating discussions.
Join MILL now and bring your desire to share, learn, assist and create a better life for you and others.
