Information Commons

The Information Commons is a state-of-the-art virtual library facility, complete with 40 computer terminals and three study rooms available for student use. As both a social and academic gathering place, the Information Commons serves as an ideal environment for research, collaboration and relaxation.

An extension of the main library, the Information Commons supports the academic needs of the students. A reference librarian is on site to assist students as well as a member of the I.T. help desk. The Information Commons is located on the 2nd floor of the Public Square. Our extension is 6282.

Study Room Access Policy and Guidelines


Study Room Availability:

Monday-Thursday: 8:00 a.m. - 12 a.m.
Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 2 a.m.
Saturday - Sunday: 12:00p.m. - 2 a.m.

The hours listed above indicate access available on a first come, first served basis. There is an online reservation system for students that wish to secure a room for a two hour time period. Reservations are not necessary on the weekends. Study room reservations may be made between 10 A.M.-6 P.M. Monday-Thursday.Information on using the study rooms and reserving them in advance is available here.

Hours:

Monday-Thursday: 7:00 a.m. - 12 a.m.
Friday-Saturday: 7:00 a.m. - 2 a.m.

Reference Hours for the Information Commons

A librarian will be on site during these times, please note these are not the hours the building is open.
Monday - Thursday: 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Friday: Reference Services available in main library
Saturday-Sunday: Reference Services available in main library
