With over 50 years of selecting library materials, we are pleased to highlight the following unique and/or specialized collections:

Dominican Studies

The Dominican Studies bookshelf is located in the newspaper reading area on the first floor of the library. Representative books about members of the Dominican order are shelved in this section.

Education Resource Center 

The Education Resource Center is a diverse collection of resources in varying formats designed to aid prospective teachers and faculty in lesson planning and curricular development. It is located on the first floor of the Library across from periodicals. Large tables for working on group projects and access to a wireless network are available. All materials can be searched using the Library catalog and many materials can be checked out.

Sienna Women's Center

 

The Siena Women’s Center houses a sizable collection consisting of a diverse array of novels, biographies, reference materials, and periodicals both by and about women.  With both current and historical information on Women’s studies and Gender Equity, the collection provides a significant array of resources for the student interested in Women’s issues. The Center is located in 017A  in the lower level of Kellenberg  Hall. The operating hours are 9:30 to 2:30, Monday through Thursday.

The Special Collections of the library offers a historical assortment of books that cover a wide range of topics, formats, and periods. Some of the more unique items contained in this collection are books in which under 50 copies remain in existence worldwide. Please note that these items have restricted availability and are non-circulating.
