Conference Description

This Teachers Teaching with Technology™ (T3 ) Regional Conference is designed to help Math and Science teachers in grades 6th - 12th integrate Texas Instrument's technology into their classroom. TI and Molloy College invite you to join us on beautiful Long Island, located just 40 minutes from the heart of New York City. Speakers will provide outstanding sessions that will give you ideas to take back to your classroom, and get you to thinking about new ways to approach an old problem. There will be time to see old friends and to make new ones as you become reinvigorated and excited about integrating handheld technology into your classroom. We have put together a line-up of outstanding speakers, so come and listen, learn, meet, mingle, and ENJOY! This conference will be held in the Wilbur Arts Center on the Molloy College campus. Molloy is an independent, comprehensive college located on a 25-acre campus in Rockville Centre, Long Island. Mark your calendars for November 16 & 17, 2007 and we look forward to seeing you there.

Conference Schedule

The conference will be offered on Friday, November 16 from 8:00 a.m. - 2:45/3:00 p.m. and on Saturday, November 17 from 8:00 a.m.- 12:45/1:00 p.m. at Molloy College.

The conference will offer the following sessions:

Friday :

1 (one), 50-minute concurrent session
2 (two) 75/90-minute concurrent sessions
Keynote Presentation

Saturday :

1 (one), 50-minute concurrent session
2 (two) 75/90-minute concurrent sessions

All of the concurrent sessions will be devoted to helping math and science teachers integrate technology into their classrooms. The sessions will provide teachers with exciting new classroom ready activities.

Attendees will have the option of registering for both days or for just one day: Friday or Saturday.

A continental breakfast on Friday and Saturday and a buffet lunch on Friday is included in the price of the conference.

Registration and Fees
Attendees have the option of registering for both days of for just one day: Friday or Saturday. Fees are as follows:

Registration is limited. In-person registration the day of the conference is on a space available basis and cannot be guaranteed.

Refund Policy: A full refund will be granted as long as you contact us by October 19th. Refunds will not be granted after October 19th, however substitutions can be made up until November 14th at no charge.

Keynote Speaker

The Keynote Speaker on Friday, November 16th will be Dr. Arthur Benjamin. Dr. Benjamin is both a professor of mathematics and a magician. He has combined his two loves to create a dynamic presentation called "Mathemagics," suitable for all audiences, where he demonstrates and explains his secrets for performing rapid mental calculations faster than a calculator. Reader's Digest calls him "America's Best Math Whiz". He has presented his high energy talk on over a thousand occasions to audiences throughout the world.
Dr. Benjamin has appeared on many television and radio programs, including: The Today Show, CNN, Amazing Discoveries! and National Public Radio. He has been profiled in The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, USA Today, Scientific American, Discover Magazine, Omni Magazine, Esquire Magazine, People Magazine, and Reader's Digest.

Athletes & Scholars

The Molloy College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) raised a total of $2,600 during the 2006-07 school year, which was donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the Division II NCAA charity of choice. Molloy was the top school in the East Coast Conference, fourth in the Northeast region and seventh out of the 282 Division II schools in the country to donate money to Make-A-Wish.
