Graduate Assistantships
All assistantships are available as of September 8, 2009. Positions are 10 hours per week. Recipients receive 3 graduate credits for the fall semester and a $500 stipend at the completion of the assistantship. The following positions are currently available and will be filled as complete packets are received in the Human Resources Office, positions may be eliminated if not filled in a timely fashion and/or if budget has been expended. Position title: Graduate Assistant
Duties:
- Provide enrolled students with patient assistance in academic skills, including time management, note taking, study skills, etc;
- Proctor examinations;
- Create and maintain accurate files, records and databases, and
- Perform office duties as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Concern for, patience with and understanding of students with special needs;
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of student records;
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills;
- Familiarity with spreadsheets and databases.

Duties:
- Assist with researching grant opportunities through the internet and written publications.
- Learn how to develop a proposal and gather the required documentation and then assist with current submissions
- Have an opportunity to participate in regional presentations regarding grant seeking and resources offered through the Nassau-Suffolk Grants Officers Network.
Qualifications:
An interest in Advancement/Development functions; the ability to use the internet and publications to research funding opportunities for Molloy; strong written and organizational skills.

Duties:
This position is intended for Molloy graduate students enrolled in the Education/Spanish or TESOL Graduate Programs.
- Work with a full-time faculty member in the Department of Modern Languages
- Assist the faculty member with research and teaching projects
- Participate in the evaluation process of students in undergraduate lower level Spanish courses.
- Work with faculty member when meeting with undergraduate students of upper level courses to practice writing skills.

Duties:
Student will assist in the Music Department office with clerical duties for the Graduate Music Therapy program. Student will accompany performing groups during rehearsals and performances. Student will provide musical tutoring for undergraduate and graduate students.

Position title: Graduate Assistant - 2 positions
Duties:
To assist Dr. Fargnoli in his research in theology, ethics and literature. Among other related responsibilities, the Graduate Assistant would be expected to research specific topics by finding articles, books, web sites and any other pertinent sources of information.
