Assistant Professor of History & Political Science

The Department of History and Political Science at Molloy College is seeking applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor of History and Political Science beginning in September 2014.  The successful candidate will have demonstrated a strong commitment to student-centered education, excellence in teaching, and the ability to teach a broad range of courses in the field of American history and global study areas.  The area of specialty is open, however, the successful candidate should also be able to teach courses in American politics.  Candidates should have experience teaching college level history courses. 

Responsibilities:

  • Teaching 12 credits per semester
  • Supervision of internships
  • Academic advising
  • College service 
  • Commitment to research and publication

Qualifications:

  • An earned Ph.D. in History is required
