THE CENTERPIECE of Molloy’s planned expansion is a 65,000 square foot “public square” building.
Placed prominently in the middle of the campus, this new facility will be a symbol to Molloy
students, and to the Long Island community, that the College’s commitment to developing leaders
with a moral compass is central to its mission.
Education happens best when there are opportunities
for in-depth, personal contact between fellow students and between faculty and students. The “public square” will provide the perfect venue for these personal interactions. It will serve as a
student center, with gathering spaces, meeting rooms, and student development offices. It will
also be home to an art gallery, a modern media center and broadcast theatre with a
built-in link to major cable and satellite outlets.
