SECOND HALF SURGE DRIVES WOMEN’S BASKETBALL PAST FELICIAN, 67-53

RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Trailing 32-31 at the break, junior forward Kymira Woodberry and junior guard E.J. Dreyer combined to amass 27 points in the second half on 10-for-16 shooting to bring the Molloy College women’s basketball squad back for a 67-53 victory against Felician College on Saturday afternoon at Job Gymnasium in Rutherford, N.J. Woodberry tallied 19 points and Dreyer had eight points over the course of the period.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL SUFFERS FIRST LOSS OF SEASON TO TEXAS WOMAN’S, 79-69, AT SURF ‘N SLAM HOOP CLASSIC

SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Down 50-48 with over six minutes left in the contest, the Molloy College women’s basketball team allowed Texas Woman’s University to post a game-winning 8-0 run during a time of 1:30, which assisted the Pioneers in taking a 10-point advantage with 5:13 remaining. They eventually won the match-up on Tuesday afternoon by a score of 73-63 at the 2008 Surf ‘N Slam Hoop Classic in San Diego, Calif.

FITTS POSTS TEAM-HIGH 17 POINTS AS MEN’S BASKETBALL FALLS TO NEW HAVEN IN ECC/NE-10 BATTLE, 68-59

WEST HAVEN, Conn. - Junior forward Girard Fitts raked in a team-leading 17 points on 8-of-17 shooting, but it wasn't enough on Monday as the Molloy College men's basketball squad lost by a decision of 68-59 to the University of New Haven at the Charger Gymnasium in West Haven, Conn. He also grabbed down six rebounds and took away four steals as the Lions dropped to 3-8 on the season.



SAN DIEGO, Calif. - On Monday afternoon, junior forward Kymira Woodberry scored her 1,000th-career point with a lay-up at the 13:50 mark of the latter period as the Molloy College women's basketball squad beat Le Moyne College in double overtime, 69-66, at the 2008 San Diego Surf ‘N Slam Hoop Classic in San Diego, Calif. The tournament was held on the campus of San Diego City College.

EASTON, Mass. - One month since falling to Stonehill College at home, the Molloy College men's basketball team dropped the re-match by a 74-57 count at Merkert Gym on Sunday in Easton, Mass. With the defeat, the Lions went to 3-7 on the year. As for the Skyhawks, they are now 9-2 overall and ran their winning streak to three in a row.
