Let us tell you about Molloy College’s James E. Tobin Library. The Library is here to support your academic goals by providing a high quality information facility, unlimited resources, up-to-the-minute technology and vital student services. We are stocked with materials to support the Molloy College curriculum, devices to advance your learning potential and a staff of reference librarians and assistants who are knowledgeable, friendly and available to help.

The Tobin Library provides a comfortable, attractive, and safe environment where you can study, do research or work on assignments and projects. What do you need to avail yourself of everything wonderful in the Library? Just your college ID. It serves as your Library card.

We want to make your research as painless as possible. We have an extensive collection of over 700 professional journals and periodicals and if necessary, we will help you borrow books, or get copies of periodical article not available at Molloy College. There are four photocopy machines located right here in the Library for your convenience. Our Media Services Department offers audio/visual services to you, as well as, providing presentation equipment software for the Molloy College community. We will even provide training for the equipment, if needed and PowerPoint training is always available by appointment only.

To your benefit, there are 12 computer workstations in the Main Reference Room of the Library, which afford you access to the internet. We also have a variety of online, electronic databases, both from the computers in the Library as well as remote access from off-campus. Additionally, Molloy College subscribes to a good number of databases, like LEXIS-NEXIS, MEDLINE and ERIC, to assist with your research. The Education Resources Center, located in the library, supports the education curriculum. The Molloy College Media Center, adjacent to the library, has DVD's VHS tapes and audiotapes to augment our other reference materials.

Our Library staff realizes how vital their services are to your success at Molloy College, so they have established very generous hours. The Library and Media Center  open: Monday – Thursday 8 a.m. – 10 p.m.; Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.; Saturday 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. Reference librarians are available during all library hours for assistance with research. We are also open limited hours during intersession and summer semesters.
