Being Successful at College

The following is a a suggested list to aid you with your success at Molloy College.

  1. Find and get to know several individuals on campus who care about your success.
  2. Learn what helping resources your campus offers and where they are located.
  3. Understand why you are in college.
  4. Set up a daily schedule and stick to it.
  5. If you are attending classes full-time, try not to work more than 20 hours a week.
  6. Evaluate and improve your study habits.
  7. Join at least one study group or visit the Writing Center.
  8. Professors are also avaible outside of class if you have questions.
  9. Develop critical thinking skills.
  10. Know how to find information on campus, including at the library.
  11. Improve your writing skills.
  12. Biuld a relationship your academic advisor.
  13. Visit the Career Center early in your first semester.
  14. Make at least one or two close friends.
  15. Get involved in campus activities.
  16. Take your health seriously.
  17. Enhance your computer skills.
  18. Show up for class and participate.
  19. Have realistic expectations.
