Applying for Aid
To be considered for Federal and State aid, we urge you to apply for Federal aid before May first of each academic year. To apply for all sources of financial aid programs including, PELL, SEOG, TAP, APTS, Student Loans, etc, you must:
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online at www.fafsa.gov.Don't forget to use your FSA ID. If you do not have one, apply for a FSA ID online at https://fsaid.ed.gov
- If you prefer, you can download a PDF FAFSA at www.studentaid.org and mail the completed PDF FAFSA to the Federal Student Aid program for processing.
The Molloy College federal school code is 002775. Approximately 2-3 weeks after filing the form, you should receive a Student Aid Report (SAR) from the federal government. Review this form carefully. Make required corrections to the form online or by returning and signing your SAR to the address provided. We strongly recommend that you complete your FAFSA online where processing time is faster. To check the status of you submitted FAFSA via phone, call 1.800.433.3243.
The Molloy College state school code is 0500. Complete the Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) application. If you file a FAFSA online, click on the link for New York State residents to file the TAP application online, or visit www.tapweb.org. If you don't apply for TAP online, New York State Higher Education Services Corporation (NYSHESC) will mail you an Express TAP Application (ETA) to complete. To check the status of your submitted TAP application via phone, call 1.888.697.4372.
Remember: Students must re-apply for financial aid every year.
Renewal of awards is not automatic.
The FAFSA should be processed and received by May 1. If we do not receive your processed FAFSA and required documentation by May 1, you will forfeit all Molloy scholarships and Molloy grants for the current academic year.
