Student Research Events

Victoria Sorrentino, class of 2015, won first place in the Undergraduate Poster Competition at The Annual Teaching of Psychology Conference in Tarrytown, NY for her capstone research project.
Dr. Melissa I. Gebbia and Molloy Alumnist Renee Smucker presented their research, Regulating the learning environment: The impact of academic self-regulation instruction on motivated learning strategies, at the Association for Psychological Science Annual Convention in New York City, May 2015.

Dr. Gebbia's research team is part of an Interdisciplinary Research Team headed by Dr. Ronnie Feeg in the Graduate Nursing department.  These pictures show Dr. Gebbia and her research assistants participating in a Health Fair run at the Circulo de la Hispanidad Community Center in Hempstead (May, 2012).  The Psychology department's research team ran a booth on "Emotional Health" and collected research data on bullying and emotion detection.


Advanced Experimental Psychology students, in Dr. Gebbia's PSY312 course Spring 2012, presented their research studies to the Psychology department faculty and visiting faculty from the Social Work department.
