English Language Arts Summer Institutes for Teachers

The following eight (8) ELA summer institutes will each be offered on a four (4) day schedule from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. each day at either Molloy's Suffolk Center located at 7180 Republic Airport in East Farmingdale or at our Rockville Centre campus located at 1000 Hempstead Avenue, Rockville Centre. The Institutes can either be taken on a non-credit, in-service basis for $495 for 2 in-service credits or the institutes may also be taken for 3 graduate credits for $900. Please note that students enrolled in these institutes on an in-service basis cannot opt to take these institutes for graduate credit once an institute has begun. Downlaod the application and registration instructions  Molloy graduate students should consult their graduate advisor. Contemporary vs Classic: A Common Core Approach, Grades 6-12 (June 29- July 2)

ELL-Specific Professional Development for All Teachers: Academic Language and Vocabulary, Grades K-8
  (July 6-9)

Instructional Technology in the K-12 ELA Classroom and the Common Core Standards (July 27-30)

Supporting ALL K-12 Learners Toward Deeper Learning on the Pathway to Literacy Success (August 3-6)               

Easy and Effective Online Assessments for Educators in the ELA K-12 Classroom (August 10-13)

Bring the Common Core to Life: Reading, Writing, Research, Vocabulary and Scaffolding Grades 9-12 (July 13-16)

Strategies for Teaching the ELA Modules in Grades 6-8 (July 20-23)

Helping Secondary Students with Disabilities and Struggling Learners Succeed with the Common Core
(August 3-6)
