English Language Arts Summer Institutes for Teachers

The following eight (8) ELA summer institutes will each be offered on a four (4) day schedule from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. each day at either Molloy's Suffolk Center located at 7180 Republic Airport in East Farmingdale or at our Rockville Centre campus located at 1000 Hempstead Avenue, Rockville Centre. The Institutes can either be taken on a non-credit, in-service basis for $495 for 2 in-service credits or the institutes may also be taken for 3 graduate credits for $900. Please note that students enrolled in these institutes on an in-service basis cannot opt to take these institutes for graduate credit once an institute has begun. Downlaod the application and registration instructions  Molloy graduate students should consult their graduate advisor. The following institutes will be offered at our Rockville Centre campus

   Focusing on Characters, Grades 6-12; Instructor: Regina Hall
   Transforming Writing Lives through Digital Tools and Creativity- Grades 5-12; Instructor: Carol Varsalona

   Academic Language in the Intergrated ENL Class K-8; Instuctor: Audrey Cohan
   Next Step for Teachers of English: Writing Curriculum Units for ELA Classrooms, Grades 6-12; Instructor: Victor Jaccarino

•  (August 8-11)
   Managing The Classroom with Technology using Online Assessment Tools for Educators in the ELA K-12 Classroom; Instructor:
   Maria Esposito  

(August 15-18)
  Using Technology to Support Literacy in the K-12 ELA Classroom and the Common Core Standards; Instructor: Maria Esposito

   Struggling Readers, ENLs, and SWDs: Vocabulary May Be the Answer; Instructor: Louisa Kramer-Vida
