Immunotherapy for Cancer: Can We Cure Ourselves?

Molloy College, Division of Nursing, and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center will be presenting the program: "Immunotherapy for Cancer: Can We Cure Ourselves? " on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 from 6-8:30 p.m. The conference will be offered at no charge and will be held in the Hays Theatre in the Wilbur Arts Center on Molloy's Rockville Centre campus located at 1000 Hempstead Avenue, Rockville Centre, New York, 11571.
This program will provide an overview of immunotherapy for cancer - how immunotherapy can stimulate the body's natural immune system to mobilize its own anticancer mechanisms to fight cancer. Specific focus will be on the new immunotherapies that have shown success in fighting melanoma, lung cancer and other cancers. Clinical trials on additional agents will also be presented. The speaker will be Michael Postow, MD, Assistant Attending, Melanoma-Sarcoma Oncology Service, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
This program is offered at no charge and is open to the public. Everyone is welcome to attend, including healthcare professionals and students. Dinner is included. Although the conference and the dinner are offered at no charge, registration is required. Seating is limited and you should pre-register for the conference by October 14th.

Molloy College, in collaboration with community partners, is pleased to be offering its 8th annual Palliative Care Conference on Long Island. The conference will be held on Friday, June 3, 2016 from 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. in the Madison Theater at Molloy's Rockville Centre campus. The agenda for the day will include a Keynote Session and a series of topics offered during three concurrent sessions. Breakfast and lunch are included. The main objective of this year's conference is for the participants to enhance their ability to provide professional, competent, empathetic care to patients and their families.
