Sunday, September 14 at 3 p.m., featuring  Pramila Venkateswaran
Reception Room, Kellenberg Hall

Pramila Venkateswaran is Poet Laureate of Suffolk County. She teaches English and Women's Studies at Nassau Community College and was the 2011 Walt Whitman Birthplace Association's Long Island Poet of the Year.

This event is free and open to all. No reservations necessary.
Light refreshments will be served.
An open reading will follow the featured poet.

Saturday, October 18 at 1:30 p.m., featuring Iris Levin and George H. Northrup
Reception Room, Kellenberg Hall

Iris Levin is a writer of succinct, powerfully evocative observational poetry. This year she established the Poetry Contest at the Long Island Fair. George H. Northrup is President (2006 - present) of the Fresh Meadows Poets in Queens, New York and a member of the board that selects the Nassau County Poet Laureate. He is also a clinical psychologist practicing in New Hyde Park.

Sunday, November 2 at 3 p.m., featuring Steven Sher
Reception Room, Kellenberg Hall

Steven Sher, a Brooklyn native now living in Jerusalem, has been published widely. His work has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize and was a finalist in the Oregon Book Awards.
