Suffolk Center Academic Information

Currently, graduate classes in education and nursing are held at the Suffolk Center on Route 110 as well as at schools and hospitals in the area. Advisement, registration and the sale of textbooks are held at these locations on announced dates. All courses are taught by Molloy College faculty and are applicable to the appropriate Master's degree at Molloy College.

Graduate Education

Students can enroll in programs leading to initial and professional certification as a teacher of childhood education in grades 1-6, teacher of adolescent education grades 7-12 in biology, English, mathematics, social studies or Spanish; Teacher of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) and special education for both childhood and adolescent levels. Dual certification programs are also available. Candidates who teach full-time in a religious-affiliated school may qualify for a 30 percent tuition reduction. Courses are generally offered from 5:25 p.m. - 7:35 p.m. and/or 7:45 p.m. - 9:55 p.m., either one or two nights a week. For the current schedule of classes click here.

Graduate Nursing

Programs offered to educate nurses for advanced roles in the following disciplines:

  • Nursing education
  • Family nurse practitioner
  • Adult nurse practitioner

Nurses continue learning in a supportive, caring environment; become expert decision makers and leaders and learn to implement and answer research questions. Graduates are eligible to test for advanced certification. N.P. graduates are eligible for New York State certification. Courses are offered from 6:30 p.m. - 8:20 p.m. and/or 8:30 p.m. - 10:20 p.m., either one or two nights a week. For the current schedule of classes click here.
