Why I love teaching at Molloy College

Molloy is a wonderful, warm and friendly place and I really love my job and the people at Molloy!

Academic Interests

Teaching Research, health promotion and nursing education.

What I am working on

My area of research is on prevention of skin cancer which is the only cancer increasing in rate of frequency in this country. I do community outreach.

Educational Philosophy

Instill in students the desire to continue to learn, to challenge themselves and to always believe in their abilities. It is ok to fall as long as you also try to get up.

Educational Background

BSN -Adelphi; MSN from University of California at San Francisco and Doctorate in Education from Dowling College.

Additional Information

I also volunteer at a hospice house. It is a very enriching experience and one in which true nursing is ever present.

Favorite books: So many books, so little time!! Love the authors: Ian McEwan; William Faulkner; Paul Auster; Khaled Hosseini; Barbara Kingsolver

I have published several articles on skin cancer and other topics in nursing.
