Specialized Collections

The Catholic Studies collection features circulating and reference books relating to the history of the Catholic Church. Included are books on individuals whose lives and teachings had a great deal of influence on the Church over the years.

The Catholic Studies Room is located on the Mezzanine level of the main library.

The CERCOM Collection (Center for Environmental Research and Coastal Oceans Monitoring) contains hundreds of books donated by Lisa Breslof, Science Education Coordinator for the American Museum of Natural History. This extensive collection spans an array of topics, with emphasis on the Environmental Sciences, Geography and American History. Also included are works of Juvenile Literature and biographies.

CERCOM is located in West Sayville on Long Island.

dominican studiesThe Dominican Studies collection offers representative books about members of the Dominican Order. For more information regarding the collection, please feel free to consult our Research Guide or browse the collection.

The Dominican Collection is located in the Dominican Reading Room on the third level of the library.   

education resource centerThe Education Resource Center is a diverse collection of resources in varying formats designed to aid prospective teachers and faculty in lesson planning and curricular development. It  Tables for group activity and wireless access available. 

The Education Resource Center is located on the first floor of the library across from the Patron Services/Media Viewing areas. 

siena womens centerThe Siena Women’s Center collection consists of a diverse array of novels, biographies, reference materials, and periodicals by and about women.  With current and historical information on Women’s studies and Gender Equity, the collection provides targeted resources for the student interested in Women’s issues.

The Siena Women's Center is located in 017A  in the lower level of Kellenberg  Hall.
