Wollongong, Australia is located on a narrow coastal plain between an almost continuous chain of surf beaches and the bluff of a rainforest approximately 50 miles south of Sydney. In the local Aboriginal language, Wollongong means "seas of the South." The University of Wollongong is ranked in the top 2% of World Universities.
If your interests are marine science, conservation biology, earth and environmental science, business, chemistry, English, the Arts, or many other areas in the Humanities and Sciences, this could be the place for you to choose for your study abroad semester. The semesters at Wollongong run from February - July for the 'fall' semester and July -November for the 'spring' semester. All students enrolled in the program will receive housing at one of the University's student residences. While most of these rooms are double occupancy, a few single rooms are available upon request. Participants in the program have the option of cooking for themselves or eating in on campus facilities.
