2013 Honor's Learning Community: The French Experience. May 24-June 2.

Program Description

The French Experience is the culmination of a year of study and exploration of Modern history, thought and culture, focusing on the important role of France -- and the city of Paris in particular -- in the development of Modern Europe. This program includes 10 days experience living in the incredible city of Paris. All major sites in Paris are connected with course work done during the spring semester will be visited. Students will first tour the countryside on the outskirts of Paris including a trip to Normandy and Mt. St. Michelle. While in Paris see Notre Dame, Versailles, the Arch de Triumph and the Eiffel Tower. Best of all, honors students will have the time to really feel at home in one of the world's most beautiful and important cities.

Courses

All honors classes take place during the fall and spring semester at Molloy. Travel to Paris takes place during spring break.

Costs

$1375. Costs include round-trip airfare, housing in three star hotels in double room (there is an additional fee for a single room), all transportation and sightseeing while overseas, breakfast in the hotel daily.

2012 Honor's Learning Community: France

The conclusion of the first year experience for students in our Honors curriculum is a global learning tour of Northern France and Paris. This International Education program highlights modern history, thought, and culture, focusing on the important role of France - and the city of Paris in particular - in the development of Modern Europe.

This program takes in 10 days of touring the French countryside, and culminates with a four day stay in the incredible city of Paris. Visit the Eifel Tower, Notre Dame, the Conciergerie, Sainte-Chapelle, Mount St. Michel and Chartres Cathedral, Normandy, Bayeux, and Rouen.
