Summer Study Abroad Program in León, Spain: Spanish Language and Culture. July 2013

Program description

The Summer Study Abroad program in León, Spain offers students the opportunity to immerse themselves in the Spanish culture, art and history, to improve their Spanish language skills and to travel through different parts of Spain. The program starts with a three-day stay in Madrid and continues for four weeks in León, where students take Spanish language and culture courses at the University of León. Students attend classes in the mornings, and afternoons and weekends are devoted to sightseeing, field trips, making new friends and merging with the normal lifestyle and culture of a typical Spanish community. This program has been successfully running for 10 consecutive years in partnership with the University of León.

Costs

To be advised. Costs include airfare to and from Madrid, land transportation between Madrid and León, accommodations with a family in León with a private room, three meals daily and laundry service, hotel in Madrid, International health Insurance, field trips in and around León, textbooks, use of the University of León's facilities.

Accomodations

During the stay in León, students will further enhance their language and cultural immersion experience by living with a Spanish family. These families have been selected from a large pool by the University of León, and offer the students a welcoming and hospitable atmosphere.
